I want to extract several hours of data from a SEISAN database with WAVETOOL.
I’m using SEISAN version 12 on Debian Linux. I use this command: $ wavetool -cwav -start 20211214030000000 -duration 8300 -wav_out_file test -format MSEED I get error messages saying “Number of maximum samples exceeded”, when I try to extract 8400 seconds or more of data, most of which is sampled at 200 Hz. I don’t fully get what the -maxpoints option does, but I don’t think it will help me. Can I just change a value in the code and recompile?
