Ah, I see - now I understand what you're asking. Yeah, that's definitely a
problem - the way I get around it on Discourse DB is that I didn't have FCK
installed until a few days ago, for testing purposes, and I'll probably take it
out again in a few days. :) I personally much prefer wiki-text to WYSIWYG
editing. For Referata, I hadn't really thought about it - my thinking was to
let admins choose whether to have FCK on their site, but that doesn't solve the
problem of times when you definitely don't want to use it. You can always
change to wikitext mode in FCK... maybe that's the only real solution at the
moment.

templates fixed, etc.

Absolutely agree. The old extension for FCK by Mafs had a config
setting, something like $wgFCKeditorExcludedNamespaces ...I found it
recently to report the bug to the FCK folks... but that seems not to
work with the version from FCK and Wikia. The problem with IE7 is
significant because users have to know to disable FCK in their
preferences BEFORE they attempt to edit a template. If they attempt
to edit a template and FCK comes up, it's already too late. I was
just wondering how you got around this on your sites.
