Thanks, that's very helpful! And the fact that many of the errors exist in code that's been around for a long time is actually a good sign, because it means that there are probably very few PHP installations with the "strict" setting. All of this should be fixed in the next version. For now, if you want to get SF working, you can just comment out the code that uses "$this" - it's rarely called anyway.
