The interesting part is that the red links for the Category namespace are working (meaning that it is pointing to the Categories form for any red link Category namespace pages). It just doesn't show in the Category namespace itself.
Most likely it is something that is handled differently - if it is, I am wondering if it is something that simply could be commented out to allow the Category namespace to have a default form (don't know if there are any issues/implications with something like that).
