Hi, Thanks to Markus for introducing me (actually, my address already appeared in his first e-mail, so at least in my e-mail client).
Indeed, I am happy to get involved in SMW. While I still need some time to get familiar with the development of SMW and its extensions, my next SMW related activities include: - I'm going to visit Wikimania 2010 in Gdanks, would be great to meet some of you there face-to-face. - I will have a look at possible SMW system tests with Selenium [1]. - I'd like to have a go for an SMW extension that reads in KML [2] or shape [3] files, in order to show polygons on a map. And, of course, if you need any information regarding SMW at AIFB, I am the one... ;-) Cheers Benedikt [1] http://seleniumhq.org/, or see topic "[SMW-devel] Code quality, and how to improve it". This move does not have significant consequences for SMW or related tools, other than the fact that I will still need a few days to get back to my full productivity. While I will maintain SMW from Oxford, various extensions will continue to be developed in Karlsruhe: Semantic result Formats, AskTheWiki, ... and of course also the whole Halo/SMW+ extension system. I will keep up the good co-operation with AIFB and ontoprise. On the side of AIFB, Benedikt (see CC) has recently joined the SMW team. He will in particular help to co-ordinate communication between the various SMW- related activities in Karlsruhe, so when you want to contact "SMW at AIFB", then he is the person to get in touch with. Denny, of course, is also an important SMW contact at AIFB, but right now he is in California for an extended research visit until the end of this year. Cheers, Markus P.S.
