Hey all,
Since some of you are already working on features aimed at the 1.9 release
that cannot be merged into master for compatibility reasons, I created a
1.9.x branch.

You can submit to this branch on gerrit using "git review 1.9.x" and can
get the branch itself locally using "git fetch origin 1.9.x:1.9.x".
After the 1.8 release I will create a 1.8.x branch where any work aiming at
a follow up release (ie 1.8.1) can be done. At this point 1.9.x development
will be merged into master where it will then continue.
