Hello All!
The following patch removes bundled copy of libgsm and modifies sources
to use pre-built gsm. In fact, almost all popular Linux distributions
and xBSD variants provide gsm package, so it's better to use it instead
of building against our internal copy.
I would like to get feedback from you, dear reader, whether to apply
this patch or not.
It seems that the patch is too big for berlios, so here is a direct link:
http://github.com/lemenkov/sems/commit/f46292ef9be6ee721102267b97fafc1c7138d935
The patch looks OK to me. However, there is still no official port (see
www.macports.org) of libgsm for MacOSX... Which means that I would still
have to install my own version, instead of using a publicly distributed
packet.
Just a quick question: is the gsm lib in SEMS svn causing troubles with
the installed one? Or what about leaving the lib in SVN, but being able
to select between local or system lib on compile time (with some
Makefile.defs setting, for example)?
Cheers
Raphael.
