I got the following error during a recent install of 0.55. It appears to me that the test case is wrong, in that it's saying that the correct answer to this case should be a matrix of zeros. test-A2.reqd defines the "correct" answer, and that is currently a matrix of zeros, which doesn't seem likely as a correct answer. We are checking this out and should be able to fix shortly. So, I actually think that svdpackout.pl is ok in this case, and that the result you are seeing below (the non-zero one) is correct. .
