Fiber images hoods are the best I have ever seen, very
little ripples, nice finnish and as strong as hell.
You can run a car over them, jump on them and they
will not break.
They are also light, about 1/2 the weight of a stock
hood. Other carbon hoods I have seen have one layer
of carbon backed by cheap chopper gun fiberglass. The
result is a carbon hood that weighs more than a stock
hood. This sort of hood will break into pieces if you
try to run a car over it.
Go to fiber images websight and see their torture test
section, it is pretty amazing. The cool thing is that
there hoods are only a little more expensive than the
cheapo fake hoods.
As far as shipping, if a part gets lost or damaged in
shipping, it is insured through the shipping company,
not the company that makes the part, all companies
work that way.
As far as fit, every car is different, especialy if
your car has been wreaked before or driven for years
while excessivly lowered.
Firber images usues new stock parts to make there
molds and their fit can only be as good as these
parts. A lot of cars that are several year old,
especialy if they have been wrecked or slammed won't
even have a brand new stock hood fit perfectly.
I think the firber images hoods are the best I have
seen for a decent price so far. VIS and other brands
fit even worse. I know a few body shops that won't
even touch VIS products. Body Pros, who does my, and
many top show cars cars won't install any Vis
products.
