I believe the neutral switch is to prevent people from starting the car in
gear. Some cars have clutch inhibitors on them as well so the car won't
start unless the clutch is pressed in.
Do you need a neutral switch? Probably not absolutely necessary but it is
there for a reason.
I'm not sure if the car will have an issue if its not connected. Or it would
be a problem if you decide to snip the wires to the switch and connect them
together so the switch always looks to be closed. Whether this will affect
anything I don't know. I'd suggest you experiment and see how it goes. Get
back to us on this..
