We are further refining our database on sepsis such that we clearly identify
patients with sepsis, septic shock, and severe sepsis.
Are there current diagnosis codes that we should use to identify patients, and
those that we should actively use to code for sepsis?
Our current method is too sensitive, but not specific, so we unable to capture
true mortality rates.
Thanks to those who can share coding tips for our team
