Colleagues,

The August webcast recording Antibiotics and Sepsis: Appropriate Timing and
Dosage<http://www.survivingsepsis.org/Resources/Pages/Media.aspx> (webcast tab)
and accompanying educational slides are now posted on the Surviving Sepsis
Campaign<http://www.survivingsepsis.org/Pages/default.aspx> website. Diana
Wells, PharmD, BCPS and Jeffrey Fish, PharmD, BCPS provide evidence and
case-based information to achieve early and optimal benefit from antimicrobial
agents in sepsis patients. Teams are encouraged to use these resources widely
in hospitals for educational purposes, discussion and improvement efforts.
Thanks are extended to the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation for funding these
events offered as complimentary educational experiences to those caring for
sepsis patients across the globe.

To continue the series, registration is now open for the Thursday, September 19
webcast event, The Pediatric Guidelines from the Surviving Sepsis Campaign:
Considerations for
Care<http://www.survivingsepsis.org/Resources/Pages/Webcasts.aspx>. Faculty for
this webcast is Margaret M. Parker, MD, FCCM. Dr. Parker in her role as
Society of Critical Care Medicine Associate Podcast Editor, recorded an
iCritical Care podcast, Defining Pediatric
Sepsis<http://www.survivingsepsis.org/Resources/Pages/Media.aspx> (podcast tab)
with Denise M. Goodman, MD, MS. In this podcast, Dr. Goodman speaks about her
article published in July, 2012 Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, "Defining
Pediatric Sepsis by Different Criteria: Discrepancies in Populations and
Implications for Clinical Practice."

While visiting the SSC website, note that there are number of new

available from SSC partners, the European Society of Intensive Care
Medicine<http://www.esicm.org/>. More releases will be available following
