Kathleen,

I would love to chat with you. I have been creating ‘vignettes’ or detailed
analyses of individual patients that present with sepsis in ED, wards or ICU’s
with sepsis. Most focus at UTMB has been on ED. We have some denial of our
intensivists that things in the ICU can be done better.

not urgent. but would like to discuss approaches to collecting and using ICU
data with your or anyone else.

I have an inclusive sepsis database that collects many different data points
in the continuum of sepsis care, but mostly focused on the ED presentation and
treatment. I am starting to look at making the ICU portion of the patient data
more robust. Is anyone collecting data on the ICU portion as opposed to the ED
episode of care? What sort of things do you include and would you perhaps be
willing to share?

Thanks in advance,
