Hi Claudia, Attached are the proposed measures from NQF to be finalized in April. http://www.qualityforum.org/revision_for_sepsis_measure.aspx
We have been manually collecting through chart abstraction since 2004 and are in the process of investigating electronic fixes. Most of the data is now in our EMR so with a little IT magic we may be able to get this done this year. The hard part will be the identifier or marker for each patient electronically, right now it is a page. Maureen A. Has anyone else heard about this and what steps are other institutions taking to prepare for this? Also, are you planning, if you currently do so, to continue submitting data to the SSC database and then also using whatever software you currently use to submit the CMS measures? Any thoughts and feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your time and willingness to share!
