In the SEP-1, am I understanding that the measure is administration of the
30mL/kg for Septic Shock, not Severe sepsis?
Our abstractors are looking for septic shock time zero, not severe sepsis for
the initial boluses.
Thanks for clarification on this if we're reading it incorrectly

Colleagues,

The Society of Critical Care Medicine received a grant from the Gordon and
Betty Moore Foundation to work with 60 hospitals on the implementation of
screening patients every day and every shift on inpatient pilot wards. To
support this work beyond the pilot phase, faculty member Jane Taylor, EdD
created a series entitled Spreading Quality Just in
Time<http://www.survivingsepsis.org/Resources/Pages/Media.aspx>:

*        Spreading Change

*        Leadership for Spread

*        IHI's Will, Ideas & Execution

* Scaling Up and Spreading Change

*        Communication

Several more titles will be added in the coming weeks. This recorded modular
series offers improvement science and methods instruction on how to spread
interventions at the right time and in the right way. These modules are short
in length (5-12 minutes) and are rich in content. Please feel free to use these
resources as your teams work on integrating the Surviving Sepsis Campaign
bundle<http://www.survivingsepsis.org/Bundles/Pages/default.aspx>
implementation across all hospital care settings. Appreciation is extended to
Dr. Taylor for her dedication to clinical improvement and sharing her expertise
with the sepsis community.

With very best regards,
Lori
