I have a patient that arrived in ED at 0743. He met criteria for severe sepsis
and septic shock except the ED physician did not document a source of
infection. The hospitalist document at infection at 1230. This would be my
start time. The ED gave fluids at 0800. Can I still count the fluids they
gave? I'm not sure how far back we can include fluids for septic shock.
