Dear Colleagues,

Thanks to the outstanding communications and scientific team at CDC and a group
of dedicated Surviving Sepsis Campaign leaders, Sepsis Alliance, Rory Staunton
Foundation and other stakeholders, the CDC has posted a number of new resources
on their website. Starting with the home page of the CDC Vitalsigns portal
http://www.cdc.gov/vitalsigns/ there are new fact
sheets<http://www.cdc.gov/sepsis/pdfs/sepsis-fact-sheet.pdf> and
infographics<http://www.cdc.gov/sepsis/pdfs/sepsis_infographic_final.pdf> for
clinicians and the general public.

These resources are available for your sepsis awareness activities,
interactions with patients and their families or in other ways you deem
helpful. Also check out this
link<http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/65/wr/mm6533e1.htm?s_cid=mm6533e1_w> to
the Making Health Care Safer. Think Sepsis. Time Matters. Morbidity and
Mortality Weekly Report. This scientific publication can be shared and
discussed in your sepsis team meetings. Watch for notices on upcoming webcasts
and other new resources aimed at increasing awareness and action at CDC.gov or
on the Surviving Sepsis Campaign
website<http://www.survivingsepsis.org/Pages/default.aspx> and Facebook page.

Newly posted on the SSC sepsis Facebook page is this article on Early
Recognition and Management of Maternal
Sepsis<http://nwhjournal.org/article/S1751-4851(16)00073-8/fulltext> and a not
to be missed video<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xjpjn9t7Ivo> produced by the
outstanding team at Sutter Health Sacramento.

As always your contributions and participation in the Campaign are greatly
appreciated!

With best regards,
Lori
