Dear Colleagues,

Several list serv members have emailed to ask about the Children's guideline
schedule release. The Surviving Sepsis Campaign International Guidelines for
the Management of Septic Shock and Sepsis-Associated Organ Dysfunction in
Children is set to be published in the Journals Intensive Care Medicine and
Pediatric Critical Care Medicine in the February issues. The guidelines are
free access and can be most easily accessed in February by visiting the
Campaign website at www.survivingsepsis.org<http://www.survivingsepsis.org>

There will be a presentation of the guidelines at the 49th annual SCCM Critical
Care Congress to be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando,
Florida on Monday, February 17th . For those attending Congress, additional
children's sepsis educational events to include a joint session with the Sepsis
Alliance and the Rory Staunton Foundation focused on community education
resources will be offered. The Congress app will be the best place to notate
sessions related to this topic. If you are unable to attend, please log in to
www.survivingsepsis.org<http://www.survivingsepsis.org> in March to take
advantage of new support tools and to see the congress presentations. A big
shout-out to the entire panel from across the globe for lending expertise and
donating countless hours to these works.

The adult guidelines are in process having held an early December meeting to
formulate recommendations and voting is scheduled to start soon. Anticipated
publication of the adult revisions is anticipated in February 2021.

Thank you for your continued dedication to excellence in sepsis care. We look
forward to new discussions in 2020 on this list serv.
