Hi. We're planning to launch a portal (over 1 milion page views/day) built of dynamicaly generated pages. No we have to make a decision regarding database engine. The alternatives are a cluster of Oracle DB's or C-JDBC + (possibly) PostgreSQL. We have quite a big experience with PostgreSQL and Hibernate and would prefer Sequoia, but we've heard from somebody who tested C-JDBC a year or two ago, that it wasn't stable under haeavy load. Since we do not have a time for making our own tests using newest stable branch - could you tell me if there are a known issues regarding stability of sequoia? Or, another words, do you know heavy loaded installations of sequoia running without problems?
