Hi Jamin,
A lot of examples in the examples directory might be obsolete actually.
I personally have not checked them in a long time and I don't know if
anyone else did.
The only fully up-to-date config files are the one used by the demo that
you can find in the config/virtualdatabase directory.
Don't hesitate to file a JIRA entry to point out files that are obsolete
and that needs to be deleted or updated.
Thanks a lot for your feedback,
Emmanuel

Hi,
15:26:56,627 ERROR controller.xml.DatabasesParser Value
"optimisticTransaction" is not one of the enumerated values for this
attribute.
You used the value optimisticTransaction for one of the attributes in
your virtual database configuration file. This is not correct, please
check the DTD or documentation for a proper setting.
I realize that this is a very old thread, but I too am seeing this error. The
above statement of simply referring to the documentation isn't really all that
helpful as the error is being generated by one of the examples a new user (like
myself) to the project would normally expect to work with little configuration
change. If the option(s) are not valid, they should not be included in the
examples or documentation.
Specifically, I started with doc/examples/RAIDb-1/RAIDb1-mysql.xml from the
2.10.9 release. Why? Because this is exactly what I'm trying to setup.
I also started with the doc/examples/controller-configuration.xml. However, I
also found that several entries in this example don't appear to pass validation.
In both cases the example files fail to pass validation.
