Emmanuel,

Thanks for your quick reply. I also came to the conclusion that this was a network issue. We basically had the same problem documented in the following thread:

Thanks again

Hi Paul,

It is hard to say without seeing the configuration file but this might come from the group communication settings. Could you post your virtual database configuration file and your jgroups configuration file?

Thanks for your interest in Sequoia,
Emmanuel

We're trying sequoia for the first time, and after 'initialize'-ing a backend, we try to 'enable' it, but the controller (and the console) just hangs on 'Suspending activity'. Everything else has gone smoothly.

We're using a nearly stock configuration of sequoia 2.10.10, except the jgroups jar that is distributed with the system had to be replaced with a newer version. We're starting with a single co-located controller and a mysql 5.0.45 backend. The recovery database is on a separate server and seems to getting populated correctly (of course at this stage it is basically empty).

Does suspending activity require some special database state? There is no activity in the database (no connected clients).

Thanks for any advice
