I have 2 separate database machines (each containing SQL Server 2005 database). I need to save dump on the folder where other database machine can access the dump. Storing dump locally will not solve the problem.
Secondly, is sequoia support SQL Server 2005 or onwards? As when I look into the sequoia code, I found that it is using following SQL command to restore Dump "RESTORE DATABASE (DBNAME) FROM DISK = (Path)" Now, when I ran the exact same query manually on my SQL Server 2005 Query Browser, it is not working. Surely, this code needs to be reevaluated as far as SQL Server is concerned. Hi, It's hard to tell and I don't have SQL Server 2005 to make any test. There might be a path problem, the name resolution might not be working properly. Try to use a local disk path rather than a network path for the backup file name to see if that makes any difference. Try to change in config/log4j.properties: log4j.logger.org.continuent.sequoia.controller.backup=INFO, Console,Filetrace to log4j.logger.org.continuent.sequoia.controller.backup=DEBUG, Console,Filetrace You should get more traces in log/full_cluster.log on what is happening.
