t_check_status script function does not work with blind UACs

t_pick_branch() excludes the blind UACs from the branch picking algorithm,
therefore it returns error when the function is called from t_check_status in
failure_route.
The attached patch introduces a function similar to t_pick_branch() that allows
also blind branches to be picked up. This function is called from
t_check_status if t_pick_branch() is not able to determine the picked branch.
