IIRC, one concern had to do with changing the matching order.
You know I just went and looked at it and I'm not sure the matching order really did change, I think maybe my docs on it were wrong. I'll need to run tests though.
I also think that there is merit to possibly moving some stuff to an abstract base, and incorporating Robert Cadena's submission from April related to non-JDBC virtual user tables: http://www.machine501.com/projects/vtable_mailet.
