Hi Jon, Earlier this year I've put a mailet in JIRA (http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JAMES-235) that saves an attachment whose name matches a regular expression. You might take a look at it and build on it. The only thing that needs to be changed/added is how the content of the attachment is saved. In my case to a file, in your case in a database.
