I don't think the latest alpha qualifies as RC. We should look into these topics first:
a. More backports from TRUNK, like the removed ristretto dependency. b. add commons-net.jar to tools/lib c. determine how to distribute junit.jar => all these are related to running unit tests d. resolve the TEMPORARY DEFAULT to filedb/derby in the vanilla config I am looking into a.& b the next days.
