I also use true in my main production server.
That said I never tested it too much because less than 1% of my outgoing
mail have multiple recipients.
I would be +1 to invert the default value on trunk.
We should not change 2.3 now.
Same here. AFAIK, it was safer to have it default false because we
were unclear how it would do in widespread production usage. +1 to
change.
