IMO the discussion was worth the time. For me it was not obvious why you
insist so strong on passing tests in svn.
I don't deny that it is a common practice in OS projects.
I have the feeling that I made a mistake by throwing in my ideas to
testing, at a time, where the discussion has already heated up. That's
why some opinions may have been mixed up.

I don't see a consensus for this. I know understand your (Bernd and
Stefano) thinking. I have a different opinion in some points but I don't
think it is worth to begin a crucial vote on this.
Maybe I find some good solutions and can make a proposal everyone feels
comfortable with. (This is the first goal)
Until we have another solution (tool/workflow) I agree on the current
practice: Don't accept failing tests in svn.
