That was my guess. So you need a custom persistence manager and methods
to break down, store, reassemble a MimeMessage, manage UIDs and perform
the requests from the IMAP server.
If I understand it JCR specification discourage the creation of ad-hoc
backends: the "persistence manager" (in JackRabbit) should not parse the
content. I don't know what are the implication of this restriction.
(I'm not even sure I remember this issue correctly).
