Suvega Srinivasan created JAMES-1658: ----------------------------------------
Summary: Unable to relay out messages to an external email address. Key: JAMES-1658 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JAMES-1658 Project: James Server Issue Type: Test Components: James Core Affects Versions: 2.3.2 Environment: Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard System Type: x64-based PC JRE: 1.7.0_75 James Version: james-2.3.2 Reporter: Suvega Srinivasan Fix For: 2.3.3 I’m trying to setup a mail server for my testing purpose. I’m stuck up with an issue, my James mail server is unable to send out email. I would like to know if any other additional device/service is required between the James and Firewall(MX) in order to relay out email from James to external mail address. I’m trying to achieve something like below mail flow/setup. myJamesEmailID --> James-Mail server --> Firewall( & MX) -> external Email address What is required: Need to send an email from suve...@myjamesmailserver.com to suve...@gmail.com (myJamesMailserver.com is my example James mail domain) I have configured my James server, it is running fine with port 25 and 110, 53 open & accessible. I’m able to receive incoming email ie. from Gmail to myJamesMailserver works fine. The outgoing mail is generated in local james server, but unable to send out email from myJamesMailserver.com. Further, I see James is trying repeatedly to spool/send email out. The firewall doesn't receive any port:25 traffic from the James server. I believe, James is unable to throw the traffic to firewall/external. Would like to know what is required between the james mail server and firewall. Do I require a mail gateway device or a relay server/device before the firewall? -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: server-dev-unsubscr...@james.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: server-dev-h...@james.apache.org
