We do propose an example for OIDC authentication set up for all protocols:
SMTP, IMAP and JMAP.
JMAP being HTTP based, we do actually rely on an API gateway for
authentication. Today, the eample promotes Krakend.
Krakend is a niche API gateway, not distributed and following a freemium model
eg websocket is not supported). At Linagora, we suceeded at setting up Apache
James Single Sign On and Single Log Out with Apisix the API gateway from the
Apache foundation and would gladely share our experience as part of this
example.
