That is one option, yes. You can have the accesspoints all connected
with cat5 to the same switch, or you can inter-connect them using WDS.

If you use WDS, you _really_ want to make sure that WDS uses the 5GHz
channels, leaving the 2.4GHz for 802.11b/g between the XOs and the
APs. That requires APs that internally have 2 radios running at the
same time.
