Hello,You need to set up one mail server in front of the other and hand over the mails from one server to the other. I am new on this list and joined this list since I want to start using James. In the setup document for James (setting up sendmail so that the mails are routed from sendmail to James and then to the outer world and vice versa, it seems that the setup has been documented for AIX Unix.
I need to configure James for the same functionality for Solaris as well as MS Exchange Server. The requirement is that I need to run some scripts to parse the mails the moment new mail arrives for a particular user account. Now this mail account can either be a Solaris based account or an Exchange account.
Has anyone done this kind of setup. If so, I would appreciate any info on this.

What I understand from your mail is that the final resting place for most e-mails will be either a Solaris or an MSExchangeServer, but you need to do some processing first in James. Then you need to set up James as the first incoming mailserver, do your handling, and pass the mail on to the next mailserver. Just be careful in your configuration so that your james server does not become a spam relay.
