Hi Norman,

Earlier the mails used to fall in SPAM. But now they seem to get rejected. They don't even show up in the SPAM.

Then relay I was using used to be closed, but now I have changed the configurations whereby it now requires authentication. But even then, no fruit.

Is it because the IP address of the relay has been marked as malignant? (see the complete header below and check the "X-YahooFilteredBulk" header) Because, I tried using a another relay, which requires authentication too, it worked.

Thanks a lot for you help.
Santosh.

The header looks like this: -

maybe.. is it an open relay?
What happen wit the mails ? They just go to the "SPAM" folder or get
rejected ?
Can you post the headers which are included on such an email after yahoo
accept it ?

bye
Norman

Sundeep,

The mails I send usually (and often) contain only single recipient.
Can it be because the outgoing server is an _open relay_ ?

Santosh.

Hi Santosh,

It happens if you are trying to send bulk mails(large in number). It was
the same situation with me,try sending one normal mail with a valid TO
address.

Cheers

Subject: Emails get classified into spam

Hello all,

Is there a way to find out why emails being sent by me are being
classified as spam by Yahoo and Hotmail.
I am using Javamail to send the mails while the outgoing server is a
James server.

Expecting a quick reply.
Thanks a lot.
Santosh.
