1) Are you receiving all identical errors? Are all "Temporary exception" and are all from gmail hosts?

2) Increase the log level to DEBUG in <jamesfolder>/apps/james/SAR-INF/environment.xml and try again reporting the log.

I appreciate the help.  I just can't figure out why outbound mail
isn't going through.
