Hi Gary, a wildcard MX-Entry could be done for example by:
yourdomain.com: * 1D IN MX 10 mail.whatever.com This will route all email of ".yourdomain.com) to mail.whatever.com. But you should be aware that some mailserver will not accept email of your mailserver because it is configured to accept email for wildcard domain! bye Norman Gary Jarrel schrieb: >> >> So, if you do something similar, make sure that you accept mail only >> from authenticated users/hosts. >> > > We've given that a considerable amount of thought, and are currently > testing various ways of making sure that no open relay will be opened > for spammers! but thank you for the pointer! > > Another interesting this I've stumbled upon is how to configure MX > records for a domain like track.com to accept emails for domain > patterns such as: (.*)@(.*).track.com > > Thanks for all your help! > > Cheers, > Gary > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > !EXCUBATOR:1,462c5d3c39891827434051! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
