Hi. I've been trying to get and initial setup of JAMES running on my
computer. The steps I have done are as follows:
1. unzip all the files on my james folder.
2. run the run.bat file.
3. Modify the config.xml file.
And there is where I am having a lot of problems. I just added the dns
address and when I went to run the run.bat again...I started getting a lot
of errors. I checked the xml file and it had unclosed tags and duplicated
class and match attributes. I fixed them (not sure if I did it the right
way) but Im still receiving this error:
ERROR 2007-06-18 15:08:38.029 [Phoenix.] (): There was an error running
phase "startup" for Block named "objectstorage". (Reason: Component named
"objectstorage" failed to pass through the Configuration stage. (Reason:
org.apache.avalon.framework.configuration.ConfigurationException: No
attribute named "class" is associated with the configuration element
"repository" at file:/C:/james/apps/james/SAR-INF/config.xml:894:22).).
Everywhere I read says I just have to add the dns...nothing about closing
tags or whatever. Does anyone has an idea about this? Or a link to a guide
to configure this config.xml ?
Im running James 2.3.1 (I tried 2.3.0 and 2.2.0 as well) on Windows XP SP2
and Sdk 1.4.2.14.
