Hi there,
its a RuntimeException and so it just cut down the connection. Maybe it
would worth to return a 451 in such cases. Could you open a jira issue
for it so we can get rid of it before 3.0-M1 will get released ?

The problem vanished when SCA6000 was restarted, problem isn't error but the
fact that James DIE in SMTP dialog with no response code on DATA command
(neither 4xx nor 5xx), why this type of error are not managed?
I see in the code that in James 2.3.2 there are same problem.
