Hi I think I agree with you now - I noticed you were hosting your own DNS and I couldn't see anything untoward. So yes it seems to be a james issue *although* that does not explain why my system report from a linode VM goes (via exim4 which is ipv6 by default) over ipv4 to a gmail account.
