I just spent a few hours troubleshooting some really really bizarre
behavior when running under java 17. My mail server was completely
unable to send mail and sometimes it couldn't receive it either, the
logs showed the mail as being spooled but it'd never arrive in the inbox
or sent box and in the case of outgoing mail would never be delivered to
the recipient mail server. There were no exceptions or errors to
indicate a problem either. After several hours of trial and error I did
manage to trace it down and downgraded my JVM however I think it would
be beneficial to make a note of this on the server install page. It
mentions that it's been successfully tested on Java 11 but doesn't
explicitly warn against 17 and I think that might be a good idea.
