Cassandra is stable and used in production.
PGSQL is well tested and soon to be used in production.

JMAP is enabled by default, no need to do anything of the users.
JMAP is not implemented for the JPA version.
You would need to get your hand on the distributed implementation. Or get
your hand on the soon-to-be-merged PG native implementation.

RFC-6514 IMAP special use had inspired RFC-8621 JMAP Mailbox role
property
and all clients (including Twake mail) can provide native
internationalisation based on this.
It's as easy as providing the right translation file ;-)

i find thunderbird not that good, have mapping to directories but not
