SourceForge has an open source PDF creator project called PDFCreator. It
works great.

Indulgence: Useful Free Utilities

My original recommendation for a free .PDF converter no longer works
properly - some marketing genius decided to superimpose a "Buy Now"
sticker on the output document thereby rendering it totally
useless. The good news is that if you want a free .PDF converter I
can recommend CutePDF (sickly name, but good, workmanlike product).
You can find it at:

Remember to click on both the Free Converter and the Free Download
buttons.
