As an independent listener, I'll vouch for the quality of these
podcasts. While they all have vendors involved, they keep the
marketing to a minimum at the end of the podcast. The most recent
one with Charles Stack of Flashline introduced 3 patterns associated
with SOA governance, which were the gating pattern (the point in the
development lifecycle where reviews occur), the library pattern, and
the scoreboard pattern. In a followup email with Charles, I
suggested a fourth pattern, the legislative pattern. If we have a
gate where projects are reviewed, what are they being reviewed
against? What makes this pattern really interesting is how that
legislation occurs. This is where the legislative style must match
the corporate culture. Do you need a monarchy? a democracy?
Hopefully, you don't have anarchy.
