Although this Yahoo Groups service works pretty well for a moderator managing a Group, you should be aware that it has its faults, one of which is that it can seriously delay or lose messages between their posting, approval and transmission to Group members. This delay can be up to a couple of days and occasionally the messages get completely lost.
If you post a message and I don't approve, I will normally reply and give a reason for rejection. If it is rubbish spam (e.g. genital enhancement, teenage tarts, watches, scams etc.), I just delete it. Job adverts (these are a real plague on the whole) I often just delete as well. So if your message does not fall into these categories and it does not emerge from the posting/approval/transmission pipeline within a day or so, do send me an e-mail to query it. If you do have a genuine job advert that is not part of some money collecting scam, please post it to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/software-techy-jobs.
