Would you be willing to present at Catalyst? Burton Group holds its Catalyst Conference twice a year: once in the US (last month -- you may recall some press reports posted to the list about it -- our redoubtable Todd Biske presented), and once in Europe. This year the European conference is scheduled for 10-12 October in Barcelona. See http://catalyst.burtongroup.com/EU/index.htm.
The application architecture related topics include: - SOA - SDLC - Improving the user experience - Open source in the enterprise - Application security The agenda includes an equal mix of presentations from Burton Group analysts, customers, and vendors. (We vet all presentations to ensure that no one uses the opportunity to make a marketing pitch.) I'm still looking for two European customer case studies for the European conference. In particular, I'm looking for: - a case study related to SDLC (modeling, methodology, application portfolio management, customized frameworks, testing, the impact the SOA has had on your SDLC process, etc.) - a case study related to open source in the enterprise (what's your experience using open source? why do you use open source? what benefits do you gain? how do you govern use of open source?) We do not accept vendors or consultancies to present end user case studies. Sessions are 30 minutes long with 10 minutes of Q&A. The audience comprises application and enterprise architects. We currently anticipate a total audience of about 700-800 people. As a speaker you will receive a free pass to the conference.
