I have had to provisionally reject a number of messages recently, so if you would like me to approve your messages, for the sake of clarity I would ask you to follow these simple conventions:
(1) Please always sign your message with a name. I get a surprising number of anonymous messages from people asking for advice or help from the Group. Anonymity does not increase your chances of receiving positive cooperation. (2) Given that some message topics can generate a confusing array of threads, it serves the cause of clarity if you can make evident who it is that you are quoting when remarking on someone else's observation. (3) Do not even think of advertising that exciting Java programming job in Bangalore or offering members of this Group a rigid extension on which to hang a fake Rolex. Thanks for your cooperation and for all the hard work you put into this Group. Your tedious Moderator, Gervas
