It is intersting to see JP's SOA being marriage. In this sense, startup businesses are not SOA because Startups are one of the five organizational patterns according to Prof. Mintzberg, called simple structure. Its coordination is direct supervision, the power overall important decisions tends to be contralized in the hands of CEO.
Agree that two independent individuals can form a good mariage. But one being willing to be submissive to the other may also form a good mariage. Like one works and makes money and the other stays home and takes care of kids, house etc. So SOA is a good mariage but good mariage may not be SOA.
