Hi, The Web of Services for Enterprise Computing Workshop report has finally been finished and posted:
http://www.w3.org/2007/04/wsec_report A big thank you goes out to many of the contributors to this list for their participation, and once again my apologies for the delay in getting this finished. I think it summarizes the current status of Web services, and provides some good perspective on both WS-* and REST/Web based approaches to the problem of enterprise software standardization. As a side note, I would like to say that it seems like the recent debate on this list has been going in a very positive direction. I think everyone benefits from a clearer understanding of the these two "streams of thought" if you will around adapting Web technologies to meet enterprise IT requirements. My hope is that the workshop has helped by focusing the discussion on enterprise IT standardization requirements. I am very convinced that this group isn't shy about expressing an opinion ;-) But nontheless I'll say please post any comments, reactions, etc. Best, Eric ____________________________________________________________________________________ Choose the right car based on your needs.
