I'm with Pearson and we've been reviewing CBDI-SAE META MODEL for SOA version 2.0 over the last several weeks. I'd like to find others who have actually given thought or have real-time practice in the utilization of it. We like many aspects about it. Of course, there are aspects that are not clear.
For instance, we very much like the definition of Service(Notional). We like the idea we can start modeling at a very early stage and further define it as it become more concrete. One question we have is about Service Domains. We have an on going discussion about its importance within the Service identification and decomposition phase. Unlike Business Domains, which we believe are a key aspect of Service Discovery, Service Domains appear more of classification after the fact.
