Ada? Wow, I haven't heard anyone mention that in a long, long time. It's been a very long time since I've done anything in Ada but I don't remember it being a pleasure (or even fun!). ;-)
I agree with the characterizations of C/C++. I do not miss, even for a nanosecond, the pain of includes, macros, header files, etc. Nor do I miss needing to run something like BoundsChecker or lint, tracking down memory leaks, chasing pointers.
